Taking Videography to new Heights

Videography is among some of the top fields that have skyrocketed in the last decade. For a videographer today, it might seem hard to distinguish yourself among the competition, but not for the creative ones. At Infinity Video & Photo they are truly taking videography up to a whole new level. The company is now providing customers with aerial shots of ceremony and reception venues taken from a helicopter.
The owner of the successful company, Tomas Chavana, says it’s all about providing their customers with the best. “We’re stepping into breaking the mold. We’re always looking toward the ‘new’ and trying to provide an artistic difference by staying in touch with gadgets, trends, and technology. As long as you’re a customer and we have your selected venues in our archives, we’ll provide this service for you and you’ll have it in your video,” Tomas says.

The idea of renting a helicopter to take aerial perspectives has been in the works for quite some time for the videographer, but Texas weather had a mind of its own. “We got postponed four times because of weather. Too cold, cloudy, windy, rainy, and flying at 120 mph without a door, all the elements had to be perfect to get the shots. I’m really happy with the end results and can’t wait to do this again in the summer when all is green.”

Despite the weather, Tomas managed to capture beautiful videos of various locations around San Antonio ranging from downtown to the Hill Country. “So far I’ve used the aerial shots on a few weddings, so it’s turning out really well. For instance, I have a shot of The Chapel of the Incarnate Word. That wedding video will start with a very different perspective no other wedding videographer has, and that’s why we did it, unique, original, creative.”

This mindset is not going to disappear anytime soon. In fact, the company has more plans for this type of cinematography. “In the near future we will start looking into getting some aerial perspectives of outdoor weddings and not just locations. We’ll use specialized (as in low-noise) remote controlled helicopters to hoover over a cocktail area or even a ceremony for a few seconds and capture those surreal images, the possibilities are endless. No more bulky cranes or dollies.”

Don’t just think of this feature as an original approach for your wedding video, but as a new and different way to remember your wedding memories. “It is something unique to have but at the same time we want to make it essential to have.”
